The Fishbowl Challenge is an international business plan competition and accelerator program based in Palo Alto, California. We work with students from around the world to help them build tech-powered social ventures to affect social change. We’ve reached over 2000 students from over 90 countries to date, and invested +$150K in pre-seed enterprises—everything from maternal health-tech in Nigeria to solar-powered ag-tech in Ghana.
Our founding team is made of renowned industry veterans from Google, as well as young professionals from Africa, Asia, Europe, South America and the US, supported by a seasoned and diverse team of mentors. Our goal is to empower young entrepreneurs to create global social impact through business.
We’re extremely excited to announce the launch of the first Fishbowl Fellowship Program. The 12-month program is an opportunity for young changemakers to dive into the world of social impact and leave with demonstrable skills and tangible outcomes of their meaningful work. As integral members of the Fishbowl core team, Fellows will sharpen their capacity for leadership as they drive uniquely tailored key projects with the guidance, mentorship and support from our team and extended network.
We are actively seeking enthusiastic fellows who can work 10 hours per week to join our inaugural fellowship cohort from February 2023 - December 2023.

About the role
Responsibilities

Use various mediums to share engaging information on topics relevant to our target audience, from entrepreneurship how - tos, to inspiring food for thought, to spotlights into tough global problems and much more

Build Fishbowl's portfolio of alumni spotlights by finding new and creative ways to tell the stories of our diverse global cohorts

Assist the communications team in the production of quarterly updates that highlight exciting updates & significant milestones within Fishbowl to the broader community .

Serve as a regular contributor to Fishbowl’s electronic publications, such as the newsletters, blogs and website.

Help drive interest in the Fishbowl and Challenger stories from global and local publications, while building interest of potential challengers, donors, & mentors
Requirements​

Excellent editing skills

Ability to work collaboratively and think outside the box

Your top 3 pieces of writing / video / storytelling portfolio projects

Previous editorial experience is a plus

A 3rd of 4th year college student or recent graduate within the past 24 months
